Finally!

I wanted to post this last night, but dumb blogger was down haha.

Anyways, I finished the audio a couple of days ago, and I love it. While listening to songs with heavy bass, it will literally give you a back massage because the sub is literally right behind the seat. The thing I'm glad with the most though is that not much shakes in the car when the bass hits. I didn't want to be one of those d-bags whose car would sound like it's shaking apart because it's such crap.

And since you guys wanted pictures:

I had to make a custom box to put the 5x9 speakers in, I was going to paint it, but then I realized it'd be hidden by the seat the whole time and decided not to. All in all, I spent about $500 total for the sub, speakers, amp, deck and all the wiring needed to hook it up. Oh, and here's a picture of the truck itself:

As you can tell, the body panels are in pretty rough shape =/ There's either a dent or major rust in every panel except the driver's door and the inside of the bed. Which brings me a question. Do you guys think I should try and fix the rust/dents myself? Or do you think it'd be easier to find a broken down version of my truck and just swap the body panels? Either way I want to paint it. Maybe either black or the stock ford blue.

Oh, and I bought Brink earlier this week, so expect a review in a couple of days hopefully.

  1. Hm, not sure which option is better for you as I don't know jack about trucks. But I'd imagine finding a broken down version of your truck with the part you want to be quite difficult won't it?

  3. Haha sweet, but as I've said before nothing beats the treble filled, bass-ridden speakers in my beast of a car

  7. Nice! I've always wanted to listen to heavy metal cranking through custom speakers.

  8. In my opinion, you should first try to fix it yourself, you can always do option 2 if it doesn't work out

And those speakers look just fine unpainted.
